Our well‑being scan, available from 15 weeks onwards, is a non‑invasive 2D transabdominal ultrasound that checks your baby’s growth, movement, weight, placenta position, fluid levels, heartbeat, and fatal position.
The handheld scanner glides gently over your abdomen with ultrasound gel to capture clear images without discomfort. For the best results, especially under 20 weeks, please drink plenty of water, ideally 1 litre one hour before your appointment.

At Birmingham Numi Scan, we have a team of highly skilled and certified sonographers (HCPC & BMUS), who will perform your scan. We recognise the importance of personal comfort during this experience. If you have a preference, kindly inform us during the booking process, and we will do our best to accommodate your preference
Our private scans complement NHS scans, providing additional reassurance and bonding opportunities but do not replace your NHS appointments which you should still attend
Yes, up to five guests can join you in our spacious room to share these precious moments on our 55 inch TV. From the comfort of the sofa, they can share and enjoy the wonderful experience of seeing your baby in 3D or 4D
